John Cullerton and Mike Madigan continue to rip off the taxpayers while making the rules in which they have a vested interest. Our state government is not nearly as transparent as the National government with all the back-room deals. Pat Quinn (who never got a vote) would make Blago's campaign buy him lunch every day at Lalo's (never paying) while he lets violent criminals out of prison in an attempt to reduce the budget deficit. When these criminals commit acts of violence immediately after release, he blames others - never accepting any blame for himself. Blago is also noted by Time magazine as being the #2 of celebrity Elvis impersonators. We also look into ways to bring class action lawsuits again politicians who act in self-serving ways, screwing the people. In exchange for a vote, the rest of the country will now be footing the bill for all of Nebraska's Medicare liabilities.John Cullerton and Mike Madigan continue to rip off the taxpayers while making the rules in which they have a vested interest. The first week in January celebrates Elvis' birthday. There's plenty of resolutions for the new year and a call to action for all citizens of the state. Gov. Quinn travels to Heidelberg, Germany for a Christmas vacation under the false pretenses of visiting our troops. Illinois taxpayer foot the bill for this family trip. While Quinn can't balance his budget he allows the legislature to go home early, kicking the proverbial can down the road. Fact: Blagojevich was the 1997 Library Magazine Man give concessions to the public employees union, driving our deficit even higher. We also consider the plan of Francis Townsend, where the government aid is put directly in the hands of the people. The first week in January celebrates Elvis' birthday. Can we do better? That is the question. The health care debate heats up as Harry Reid and Dick Durbin try to pull a fast one before Christmas by calling the health care bill to a vote at one A.M. Obama has promised his constituents a public option and doesn't plan to follow though; thereby selling out the voters. The health care bill is structured to require citizens to purchase health care with the alternative being fines and possibly jail time. There is even a nice discussion into the macroeconomic implications and concerns about the health care bill.

Rod Blagojevich Podcast

This weeks installment is by far the best show I've heard by Rod, and quite possibly the best show ever heard on radio. We start this week off with a history lesson of WW I and how we had to fight and sacrifice to get the rights we have. Where is the sacrifice with Joe Lyons or Maggie Crottie of Rich township? How are these double-dippers not brought up on charges of conflict of interest when they represent us at the state level, while still employed at a local level. Who is their boss, who do they take orders from? The people they serve, or their employers? Suzanna Mendoza has a made up job for the city "Business Outreach" while also serving us on a state level.

The Judge Eugene Pincham, and Sam Adam Jr. (Blago's Lawer) had a conversation forty years ago when Nixon passed the Omnibus bill allowing the feds to wiretap private civilians. Even though Sam argued with Eugene that it was unconstitutional, it's taken that long, but there is finally a case in which this invasion of privacy will prove a clients innocence.

Listen in for Pat Quinn's thirteen billion dollar state deficit, and the 700+ secret state bank accounts that have a cash surplus, but guarded by the special interests. Also touched on the finer points of the ethics bill which limits Governors campaign contribution sources, but overlooking other government officials.

Tune in, as this is a jam-packed episode of epic proportions which all could not be listed here.

Another fine broadcast by the 'everyman crusader' himself, Rod Blagojevich. We touch more on issues concerning Illinois taxpayers and the out of control State spending spree. If that weren't enough, Rod enlightens us to the fact that not only are we being cheated, but these current cronies of Daley are depriving us of good, honest service while furthering their own personal agendas. We take a few calls and of course always put the public first. We also examine some of the tactics of Big Business and big banks and how this leaves the taxpayer on the short end.

This week Rod plugs his website at GovernorRod.com, takes calls and curses on the air; twice! Discussion about the desperate economic issues facing our city, the Healthcare bill proposed in Washington and out of control government spending. Of course there is plenty of dirty laundry being aired, and current political leaders being thrown under the bus. Nepotism runs rampant in this area and Rod holds them all accountable for their actions. As usual, Rod graciously accepts calls from his detractors and encourages dialogue and gives us his 'insight from the inside.' Another fantastic Sunday sermon from our patriarch Saint Blagojevich, patron Saint of political accountability.

Rod Blagojevich Podcast

This week Rod makes his triumphant return to the radio dial to talk about the issues facing us in Illinois. We touch on topics such as the proposal to bring the Guantanamo detainees to our prisons here. The state budget is in shambles with these unfunded liabilities (pensions) and with record unemployment these crooks (politicians) are jockeying to raise our taxes. We also touch on Tax Increment Financing (TIF) which gives preferential treatment to Downtown properties and developers at the expense of the residents. We also give thanks for Thanksgiving, and talk to twelve year olds about our favorite types of pie.
Greatest webisode ever!

Thomas Jefferson, Elvis Presley, Have we (the governed) given consent? Mayor Daley raised property taxes two years ago and blames the Cook County assessor. Mike Madigan and John Cullerton make the laws and also practice Tax Law privately creating a glaring conflict of interest. When questioned to investigate this, Attorney General Lisa Madigan declines to do so as not to disrupt her Father's business. The Madigans also fail to disclose their income (in the millions) which would raise questions as they are civil servants.
